Straddie 10,000 - 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd August 2008.

This event carries $20,000 in prize money so you will need to book early to avoid disappointment. As you can see three major events are carried out over this week. Over past years the Pairs Event has been difficult for players to enter because of available spaces provided (28 teams). This year we have revamped the playing times with morning and early evening play thus making spaces for 56 teams, also for the first time there will be a Calcutta held on the Pairs field. There has been a change on the last day Singles Event with 5 games of 60 minutes, this event will finish earlier than normal (2.45pm) allowing for players to leave the Island in daylight.   

This is the eighth year of the Straddie 10,000 and we look forward to the influx of top players once again entering this tournament. The Tournament Committee will be treating the entries as first in basis , they will place them in their selected events until these events are full. All applicants will be contacted when they have been accepted for their selected events.
