The Point Lookout Bowls Club on Stradbroke Island is host to exciting and competitive bowls carnivals throughout the year.
Men’s Triples Reef & Beef Weekend
Held in June each year, the Reef & Beef Weekend is a men’s event of two bowl Triples consisting of five games with three played on Saturday and two on Sunday. The highlight of the weekend is a sumptuous seafood lunch on Saturday showcasing the best of Straddie’s seafood.
With prizemoney of $2,500, this event is extremely popular for club players from south-east Queensland. Entries are treated on a first received basis, so please download an entry here.
The Straddie 10,000 is one of South-east Queensland’s longest running events and attracts leading bowlers from all eastern states and New Zealand.
The first two days are devoted to the Mixed Fours with the Open Pairs event conducted in two sections on Wednesday and Thursday with play going until 8pm on both nights.
With prize money totalling $16,500 the Straddie 10,000 is a Bowls Australia National Ranking event. Entries for the tournament are treated by the tournament committee on a first received basis, please download an entry form, here.
Starting on the 2nd February 2018 and running for the following 4 weeks, teams of 3 including 1 inexperienced bowler, will play for prizes each night and a prize for the overall winning team.
Two games per night will be played between 6 and 8pm. Cost per bowler will be $10 per night which includes green fees (Bowls supplied if required) and a Sausage Sizzle after play.
