The Point Lookout Fishing Club is hosting a 2-day onshore fishing comp on June 14 and 15, and everyone’s welcome to join in. It’s based right here at the Bowls Club and there’s $500 worth of prizes up for grabs thanks to Mossops Tackle Shop.

Entry is free for kids 12 and under, $10 for cadets 13 to 17, and $25 for adults. It’s a catch and release comp unless you’re keeping a legal fish for your own feed — as Finnius says, if it’s not your dinner, let it swim free like a winner.

Register at the club from 3pm Friday the 13th till midday Saturday, then cast off bright and early Saturday morning. There’s a free BBQ for all entrants on Sunday afternoon at 3. Bring your best yarns and your best catch. Click for More Details
